Born in the Bay Area, Fremont, CA, Ian Christian began to follow the arts of music.  Inspired by his family’s musical taste and his grandma’s piano skills, he quickly learned piano through a few lessons and his own ear.  His grandparents were amazing opera singers, which further influenced his musical motivation.  
 
In moving to Los Angeles, he soon found himself working with a whirlwind of artists with their own creative minds and paths similar to his.  Learning from these paths, he was able to create his own lane, not wanting to sound like anyone else.  Starting with music production, his style surrounds his vocals, blending new sounds and textures through each song.  
 
While working on music, he also spent years learning methods of psychology, philosophy, and theology.  Through years of meditation and internal/ external awareness he soon found how to transmit these learnings of focus into music, resulting in his own journey of sound.
 
Ian Christian’s music provides a refreshing sound, unlike many others. From a cinematic soul, electronic, and alternative pop/ R&B sound to powerful and introspective lyrics, every song is charged to instill change within the listener’s spirit.  Call it fusion or call it timeless, his music is an experience from lessons learned within himself, being aware of each moment through life.  These moments are captured in these songs with issues felt deep within to their answers deep within.  
 
Inspired by artists such as James Blake, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, and Coldplay, you can hear hints of these elements throughout his songs.  Carrying emotional chord progressions with hard hitting drums, the music captures an element missing in the world today.  (Music with purpose).
